Savage Glamping is the trading name of Savage Glamping Limited (SGL). Your contract will be with SGL a company incorporated in England.
SGL only takes bookings applications for persons over 18 years of age. We reserve the right, without giving reasons, to refuse a booking. By submitting a booking application, you acknowledge that you have read SGL’s Terms and Conditions, that they are fair and that they will form part of any contract you enter into with SGL.
When you submit your booking through the online reservation system, you will receive an automated booking summary e-mail, to the e-mail address provided. Please check the email for any errors. Our sending the automated email to you at your notified email address completes your contract with SGL.
If you are booking on behalf of other people, you are responsible for disseminating the appropriate information, including terms and conditions, with the group.
SGL has the right to refuse a booking if we feel it may be of detriment to other guests. We do not allow stag parties.
In order to make the stay at Savage Glamping as pleasant as possible for everyone, all guests must keep to rules of behaviour listed here, behaving in a considerate and safe manner to all people onsite.
To respect fellow glampers we ask that there are no high noise levels after 9.00 pm with all noise to stop by 11 pm. We do not allow amplified music or drumming.
Fire-pits and BBQs must be kept within the designated areas and at a minimum of 4 metres from your accommodation, and only wood purchased from the site or brought in by guests can be used for our fire-pits. Please do not collect any wood from the site for burning.
Fireworks and sky lanterns are not allowed as they pose a risk of fire.
If the Site Regulations are breached, in serious circumstances, we may ask you to terminate your stay without a refund.
Please note that essential maintenance activities may be carried out at the site or to accommodation during your stay without you being entitled to any compensation.
Glamping in Britain can mean unpredictable weather. Whilst we supply certain facilities and equipment, it is still camping and you are responsible for your own wellbeing and comfort regarding appropriate clothing and footwear etc. Be aware the tents are cotton canvas and in prolonged and heavy rain the tents may leak. SGL cannot be held responsible for poor weather conditions during your stay.
A group booking security deposit of £50 per bell tent is added at the time of booking, and is payable with the full payment. We aim to refund security deposits within ten working days of guests’ departure. It can take longer if deductions are involved for repairs or replacements. The security deposit is to cover any costs to SGL for damage or breakages and for extra cleaning required after a stay. Security deposit refunds are made by bank transfer back to the bank account used for payment.
Damage, breakage and cleaning
For damage or breakages: Guests are advised to check the bell tents for any damage or breakages found at the beginning of their stay and to inform SGL of any that they find. Please let us know if anything gets broken so we can replace it for our next guest. We will only charge for replacements in exceptional circumstances, as we expect a degree of wear and tear. If damage is directly attributable to the guest, then we reserve the right to request payment towards costs of repair / replacement. SGL reserves the right to deduct this payment from your security deposit or invoice guests following their stay.
For extra cleaning: Guests are reminded that they must leave the property in the same condition as when they arrived, remove all food items and personal belongings and follow SGL’s instructions about where to place rubbish and return any moved inventory items to each bell tent and communal area or they may be liable for extra cleaning costs. If the bell tent is not left in an acceptable condition and SGL has to carry out extra cleaning above and beyond what they would normally expect this will be charged at £15 per individual staff hour. SGL reserves the right to deduct this payment from your security deposit or invoice guests following their stay.
Lost Property Returns
For lost property returns, SGL charges £10 for small items and £15 for large items towards staff costs for travelling to a Post Office, postage and packaging.
Included in the accommodation price: rental of booked bell tent, access to communal areas, water and starter pack of firewood. NOT included in the accommodation price: rubbish collection (rubbish sacks should be left in the refuse area), washing up of all used kitchenware, BBQ and BBQ utensils, tidying of communal areas.
The prices on the Savage Glamping website are not binding and SGL reserves the right to modify these prices. The price stated on the booking confirmation email is binding. Special offers and/or discounts cannot be used after you have booked your stay.
Payments & Cancellations
We take a 50% payment upfront to secure bookings made more than 6 weeks before the stay. Payment is taken during our secure online booking process. The balance is payable 6 weeks before the start of your stay. You will be sent an automated email with a link to pay your balance so please use an email which you check regularly. If your balance is not paid by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel your stay and retain the payment.
Full payment is required when booking for stays less than 6 weeks away.
Cancellation Policy Guests cancellation
Payments for bookings are non-refundable. If it becomes necessary for you to cancel your booking, please tell us immediately by telephone and then in writing and we will, without prejudice to our right to payment, take reasonable steps to re-let the bell tent. If we manage to re-let the tent we will refund your money, less a £50 administration charge.
If Government advice requires us to close the site, you will receive a full refund. If you or any member of your party receive a positive COVID-19 test, are showing symptoms or are coming from an area with lockdown restrictions in place, we will be more than happy to move your booking to a later date or offer vouchers to the full value of any payment made.
In such times, we strongly recommend that you take out travel and cancellation insurance.
If we need to change or cancel your booking
1. We do not expect to have to make changes to your booking, however sometimes problems happen, and bookings have to be changed or cancelled. We will only change or cancel your booking:
i.a.. if necessary to perform or complete essential remedial or refurbishment works; or
i.b. for other reasons unforeseen at the time you made your booking which are beyond our reasonable control. This may include occasions where the accommodation becomes inaccessible due to a Meteorological Office Severe Weather Warning or other unforeseen event.
2. If we do need to change or cancel your booking for the reason set out in Section i.a, we will do our best to offer you a suitable alternative booking. If we are not able to offer you a suitable alternative, or if you do not accept the alternative we offer, the booking will be deemed cancelled and we will refund you the total amount you have paid us for the booking.
iii. If we do need to change or cancel your booking in line with i.b, because it becomes impossible to deliver the booking due to unforeseen events beyond our reasonable control, we’ll do our best to offer you a suitable alternative booking for either the same dates or alternative dates. If you don’t accept the alternative we offer, the booking will be deemed cancelled and no refund of any amounts paid will be offered.
3. We strongly advise that you obtain appropriate travel insurance for all members of your group. This should ideally cover loss of baggage and personal accidents.
If you decide to make a major change to your booking we may charge a fee. We will not agree changes to a booking after it has been accepted unless you wish to add packages to your holiday, subject to availability, add a booking, or move your holiday to a more expensive period.
Arrival and Departure
You have access to your accommodation from 3.30pm on the day of arrival (and no later than 8.30pm). On the day of departure, you must vacate your accommodation by 10.00am, leaving your accommodation clean and tidy.
SGL accept no liability for theft, loss or damage, of whatever nature, during or as a result of a stay at the site. Guests will be responsible for their own personal belongings. We advise guests not to leave valuable possessions in the bell tents or in the communal areas when they are off site.
Guests’ cars and their content are also left on site at their own risk.
SGL cannot be held liable if, through Force Majeure, the implementation of the agreement is entirely or partially, temporarily or permanently, prevented due to circumstances which are beyond the control of SGL, including threat of war, blockades, fire, floods, staff strikes, and other disruptions or events.
Please be aware that some of the guest equipment, including the BBQs and fire pits may be dangerous if misused. You must read your Welcome Pack for safety details. SGL is not responsible for accidents (to the greatest extent permitted by law). Children must be supervised at all times. We recommend you take out travel insurance against the risk of accidents and your stay being terminated early.
You can have day visitors during your stay but you must inform the site manager. Day visitors are not permitted to stay overnight.
